My new fitness gig isn’t so new anymore. Over the past two and a half years, I’ve taught over 250 remote classes, created close to 100 video fitness tutorials, written the equivalent of a full-length novel in fitness blog posts, and established a unique art and movement class with a local mixed media artist.

More importantly, I’ve created a community. Mostly 40 and older, they’re women, men, and even two couples who are committed to staying fit as they get older. They join me for early morning live classes, use the recorded classes to fit their schedule, or do a mix of both.

Tuesday/Thursday Classes

Every Tuesday and Thursday morning I head down to my studio – such a convenient commute (!) and I get to see ‘my people’. We chat a little before we start at 6 a.m. MT and then after we end at 6:40. Our before and after time is a chance for me to answer any questions and for us to all visit.

On Tuesdays, we go barefoot and work on alignment with a series of squats, lunges, and more. Each session includes core exercises with an emphasis on balance.

Thursdays are another comprehensive workout that incorporates free weights and bodyweight exercises to work every major muscle group in your body.

My workouts are easy to follow so you can develop strength, balance, and flexibility. I do change our focus each week. Foot and core work are regular components, but I also take the time to look at specific muscle groups and exercises with education on form and function.

Refresh

The art and movement class? That’s Refresh – a unique combination of art and movement designed to connect your creative self with your physical self. It’s held once a month, Tuesdays at 11 a.m. MT, and taught by mixed-media artist and instructor Bobbi Shupe and me, with my background as a physical therapist and fitness instructor. Our classes are a blend of education, gentle movement, and watercolor in a very relaxed and fun atmosphere.

What started as a experimental fitness venture in 2020 fast became a long-term commitment to remote teaching, writing, and video production. See the links below and join me any way you’d like.

Stay fit!
