If you want to get more fit, the core is an excellent place to start. A stronger core gives you much more than a toned midsection. It provides a stable base for your movement that can translate to improved power, speed, and function. It can also help you sidestep the pain and/or injuries associated with a weak core. Try this ‘Core in Four’ – four stabilization exercises to improve your core strength in about four minutes.

You can use dumbbells for added resistance, but they’re not required. You’ll get the most out of these exercises if you do them very slowly and focus on your form. Modify as needed with the suggestions I provide.
