Join us on a giant screen adventure with “Angkor: The Lost Empire of Cambodia” to discover one of the most glorious and enigmatic ancient cities the world has ever known. At the height of its power, the Khmer Empire in present-day Cambodia flourished, dominating a large swathe of Southeast Asia. The monumental Angkor Wat, meant to reflect the celestial home of the gods on earth, rose from the center of the great city and stood as a testament of the Khmer Empire’s striking architectural ingenuity and powerful religious influence. But the empire mysteriously vanished, and the surrounding jungle’s thick foliage overtook the enigmatic stone buildings, leaving few traces of the great city that had once been. Hidden from the outside world for hundreds of years, now viewers have the opportunity experience the thrill of discovery on the giant screen as scientists use cutting-edge technology and scientific methods to open a new window into understanding Angkor and the ancient kingdom of Cambodia.
