Our 2024-25 National History Day program is still in development. We’re looking at some changes, while holding true to the original intent – for students to gain a deeper understanding of history in a project guided by their interests.

We expect to hold an introductory meeting in November of 2024 and regular meetings January through March of 2025.

In past years, we held an annual National History Day Performance. Students chose their own historical figure to portray and I wrote a play that brought all the characters together. Number/complexity of lines written was based on each student’s comfort level. Students were encouraged, but not required, to present an individual speech as well.
